My new granny square pattern

I´ve been working hard because I have self-imposed deadlines to get all work done. In the meantime I made this beautiful square to be used in girly gifts and souvenirs. What you think? I love these colors together.

Cross Stitch: Peace

I missed my blog:-)
One of my dream travel is Tokyo. Inspired by this city I´ve stitched this ideogram for a requested greeting card. According to site http://www.orientaloutpost.com/shufa.php?q=calm this single character that means balance, balanced, calm, peace, peaceful, calm, equal, even, level, smooth or flat in Chinese, Japanese and old Korean: you decide. Yes, you decide:-)  And remember: in Japanese means only flat or level. This one is not the best choice for a greeting card if you major audience is Japanese.

I don´t have the answer (not yet) but I will make the perfect sushi roll one day with the help of this site http://makemysushi.com/ . I swear my attempt of sushi rolls was much tastier than it looks:-)

With all my apologizes to all Japanese people and chefs, I tried to do California Roll Sushi (http://makemysushi.com/index.php/Recipes/california-roll-sushi.html )  and the Classic Sushi Roll with conserved tuna fish (lol) (http://makemysushi.com/index.php/How-to-make-sushi/classic-roll.html ).
Please, if you have tips to improve my skills in this field, let me know. And smile...life is too short!
